7 Little Johnstons fans tend to slam Amber more than Trent Johnston, but, he did something recently, that outraged a lot of people. Offended TLC viewers felt very unhappy and an argument ensued on social media. Read on to find out what got people so upset.
Trent Johnston Takes Some Heat
While Amber tends to get slammed for favoritism, Trent doesn’t escape critics. In the past, lots of people commented on how he seemed too controlling of his adult children. He also took a lot of heat for condemning Jonah’s job as a car salesman and then following his son into the trade.
Trent Johnston also gets roasted for his spicy little scenes with his wife. Cosplay irritates viewers and they really don’t need to see those intimate antics on a family show. But this week, TLC fans slammed him for something very different.
7 Little Johnstons Fans Express Outrage
On Reddit, a viewer who tunes in and watches the show about the little people family questioned the dad of 5 and what he chose to wear. They noticed that Trent wore a shirt with the names of politicians on it. In the caption, they said:
Trent’s shirt…I am a big fan of several other TLC shows, and I can’t remember any other shows in which people wear shirts with politicians’ names on them. Maybe it is allowed because it is politicians from 30 years ago, and not candidates or current politicians? Any thoughts?
Trent Johnston’s shirt had “Reagan. Bush ’84” printed on it. Well, it turned out that a lot of people felt extremely offended and outraged. Here are some of their comments:
- It’s a grotesque shirt.
- GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!
- Time to cancel them I guess.
- lol it’s not surprising they little ugly *sses are republicans 😂😂
- Trent follows Republicans on Instagram and Emma used to follow Trump. Also their family friend photographer they always use named Sandy is a crazy Trump supporter.
- Unreal, can’t believe they’re trying to rewrite and glorify the VERY people [who] gutted those working and poor people.
The Arguments Over A Retro Shirt
While those who were outraged and offended by Trent Johnston got heated, others chimed in about the retro aspect of the shirt. Meanwhile, others discussed the demographics of politics:
- my friend is [the] most liberal person ever and has this shirt. idk why he wears/has it, but it’s apolitical.
- I have a shirt just like it. I also wear a Kennedy Johnson shirt. I just enjoy all things history. I don’t understand why everyone has to have the same political beliefs these days. 😵💫
- A lot of people have this shirt and don’t even know about either Bush or Reagan. Retro shirts are very popular. FYI Trent was a child in 84.
- What difference does their political preferences make, no matter what they are? It’s America, you can vote whom you like..land of the free. This is a discussion of the show.
